About Trust

Under the Garib Dassi Sect "Satguru Brahma Nand Bhuriwale" floated a Maharaj Bhuriwale Garib Dassi Education Trust Regd. Pojewal, Teh. Balachaur, Distt.Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Nawanshahar),Punjab(India) on 18 th June 1984. The trust was registered in the office of Sub Registrar Balachaur vide Registration No. 509 dated 18.05.84

The main objective of the Trust is the promotion of Education in Arts, Science, Commerce and Technology especially Education in Backward Area of India like Kandi (in the Foothills of Shivalik) of Distt. Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahar & Ropar(Punjab). It is further necessary to enlighten the people of this area to become part and parcel of the main stream of the nation in the field of Social, Cultural, Moral and Spiritual Participation by shaping the poor lot of the down trodden residents of the said area. The Trust engages itself in the activities of providing education in all spheres of life and also for creating a sense of public prosperity, honesty and patriotism in the minds of the future generations.

The aims and objectives of the Trust are as follows:

  1. To establish educational institutions in the field of Arts, Science and Commerce.
  2. To set up other vocational, technical and educational institutions.
  3. To make special arrangements for female education and to equip the women to shoulder future responsibilities at home and acquire respectable position in the society.
  4. To prepare and equip students for various competitive examinations.
  5. To encourage students to achieve excellence in sports and athletics.
  6. To promote interest in Indian culture and literature.
  7. To foster essential characteristics of discipline spirit-de-corps, building character, team work, physical development, sense of chivalry, fair play etc.
  8. To inculcate the spirit of dedication to duty.

  1. Maharaja Bhuriwala Garib Dassi College at Pojewal, Teh. Balachaur, Distt. Nawanshahr, which was taken over by Punjab Government in the year 1986-1987. The Trust donated 15 acres of land along with building to Punjab Govt.

  7. The trust get sanctioned Jawahar Nawodaya Vidyalaya at Pojewal, Teh.Balachaur, Distt. Nawanshahr from Govt.of India and the trust donated 30 acres of land for this school.
  8. Opened Maharaj Lal Dass Brahma Nand Bhuriwale Hospital at Tapprian Khurd,Teh.Balachaur,Distt Nawanshahr, In this hospital free medicines are given to the patients and facilities of laboratory ,X –Ray and ECG are available.
  9. Opened Maharaj Brahma Nand Bhuriwale Girls College at Burmi, Teh Raikot, Distt Ludhiana.
